Assam Engineering Institute was awarded various projects, schemes, certificates for develoment and quality products of the institute and its departments by various organizations over the years of its inception.Some remarkable achievements are:
  • World Bank Project for up gradation of the institute.
  • Project Impact of DOE for development of Electronics and Telecommunication department.
  • First and only educational Institute in the entire North-Eastern region to get ISO 9002 certification for conducting the Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Department.
  • Community Polytechnic (CP) Scheme & “Integrating Persons with Disabilities in the mainstream of Technical and Vocational Education” scheme under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
  • Sustainability Support Scheme (SSS) & Employment Generation Scheme (EGTS) under Ministry of Information Technology.
  • Entrepreneurship Management Development Programme (EMDP), a scheme under AICTE.
  • Modernization and Removal of Obsolescence (MODROB) under AICTE.
  • Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) under AICTE a Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development.
