Placement Cell, AEI

The Institute has a Training and Placement Cell (TPC) with a designated Training and Placement Officer and Assistant Training and Placement Officer who is in charge of the cell and centrally communicates to all the departments. It has a well-equipped TP cell with excellent Internet facility. The cell also has an attached Conference room with attached projector system where presentations by the industry and the Personal- Interviews are conducted. The cell is fully air conditioned and has a good workspace where all the paper-works regarding seminars to be conducted, training etc are efficiently done. The Training and Placement Cell of Assam Engineering Institute, Chandmari, Guwahati is playing a vital role in arranging training, internships, and career guidance programs, special classes for lateral entry examinations, future readiness program and mock interviews.

The TP cell is managed by Training and Placement Officer and Assistant Training and Placement Officer. The TP cell maintains all the Training records of the students as well as the Faculties. It Interacts with different Industries and invites them for placements. It looks after the specific placements needs of the students and therefore organizes Pre- placements training by inviting Guest lecturers from different fields like Industry, Personality Development, and Career Guidance etc. It also maintains an Annual Budget of the expenses incurred.

Besides providing employment to a considerable percentage of students in the leading industries every year, the TPC of the Institute provides opportunities in shaping the careers of the students. The cell serves as a bridge between students and potential employers aiming to enhance students’ employability.

The TPC approaches the industry and invites them to the Institute for recruitments. It maintains a record of the student list with all necessary details like contact details, address email, year of passing, percentage etc. Further, the TPC also responds to different companies through emails who look for efficient diploma Engineers.
